I submitted my CFA scores about 1.5 months ago. My push-up video was rejected and I sent a corrected one 3 weeks ago. I finished all of my application about 2 weeks ago. Although my CFA scores were green/submitted this entire time, just today WP said that the scores were not on file or that a review was pending. Why is this?

The same thing happened to me. I'm gonna call my admissions officer tomorrow and ask why. I'll be sure to let you what he tells me.

Same for me. My 2 videos have green checkmarks, but my CFA is yellow.

The system was just changed so that CFA videos only show green check marks when they are approved by reviewers. Prior to this, the green check mark meant that the videos were received and uploaded. There is nothing to worry about so please don't contact your RC and wait for your green check or an email from your RC telling you that there is an issue.

For like a final review kinda thing? Meaning they could have seen it before right?

same happened to me. CFA was a green check mark yet I had to redo my pushup video and the puhsup video was a red x. Recently resubmitted the pushup video is now a green check but CFA has turned into a yellow pending.

any pattern how long does it takes to move from pending to green or red?

What about the icon above the two videos? If both of my videos are green but the top one is yellow what does that mean then?

Same happened to me; I emailed admissions and they said that a file will remain pending until it is found qualified. I told my FFR this and he said that it was weird and didn't know why it was yellow for me because it was green on his end.

I submitted my CFA videos on October 6. Green checks day of. Then it now says file reviewed and CFA passed as of November 10

This is directly from my RC

"Ultimately, your videos will be reviewed by several people at West Point before your entire file, including the videos, goes before the West Point Admissions Committee. Everyone who reviews your videos will have to agree upon the correctly performed number of reps (according to the standards in the CFA instruction booklet), which will then become your official number in your file"

I assume that why we were all put into pending.

Hope this helps.

I had the same thing on my file and my RC just told me there is no issue and that it will remain until my file is reviewd

My DS received a message next to his Green CFA bubble stating on file and CFA passed with the date in parentheses. He received a 3Q letter on his portal dated the same day. This was 2 weeks ago.

So how much time between CFA submission on portal and all green ( CFA passed)?

What does the 3q letter say? I got an LOE but I'm not sure if that's the same thing.

In case anybody was still wondering in regards to the CFA scores this is directly from Captain Davis (Far West RC):

If the candidate status turned yellow, it’s because they haven’t actually “passed” the CFA yet. Below is a rundown of the actual process but we ran into a big problem because we had some who thought they had passed because of the green check (in reality, it just meant the CFA scores were submitted; not that you had a passing score). We had to revamp the system so a green check actually means you passed the CFA.

When a candidate’s CFA scores are submitted by a grader, the data is automatically calculated by our system and we will know instantly if the scores are passing or not. The delay (and subsequent review status) is tied to pushup/pullup review and then qualifying of an application. Below is a rundown of a typical CFA review but each RC has their own process.

  1. Candidate submits CFA scorecards and videos (note: scorecard and both videos must be submitted before review begins)
  2. Regional clerk reviews that all 3 items have been submitted and accepts or rejects (typically 1 day turnaround)
    1. If rejected, the clerk will notify the candidate
  3. Videos are sent to the RC’s queue for review (immediately after clerk accepts the videos)
  4. RCs review videos (the time for this varies by RC/region based on candidate file status/competitiveness/other priorities)
    1. If failed, the RC will notify the CC
    2. If passing, the RC will annotate passing but the file is still “under review” until 3rd checks are complete
    3. If passing but in the window that requires a DPE review, videos will be sent to DPE for review (turnaround varies but typically a few days)
If DPE agrees the CC passed, the RC will annotate as such but the file is still “under review” until 3rd checks are complete

If DPE states the CC failed, the RC will be notified who will then notify the CC

  1. Once the CFA has been passed, we wait on the candidate to complete the rest of the application before it can be queued for qualifying. Medical and nomination are not required for this phase. Depending on how long it takes for a candidate to complete the application, it could be months before a file is queued for qualification.
  2. A candidate has completed all required parts of the application (minus nomination and medical)
    1. RC starts a workflow to qualify a candidate. The RC is considered the 1st check.
    2. The file goes to another department for a 2nd check. If the department determines that candidate did not pass the CFA, this can result in a CC failing the CFA despite submitting the scores/videos months earlier. That is why it’s important they complete their file in a timely manner (minus nomination/medial).
If 2nd check stated failed, the RC would be notified who would then notify the candidate

If 2nd check passes, the file will move to a 3rd check

    1. The file goes to a 3rd check (another RC but not the person who completed the 1st check)
  1. Once all 3rd checks are complete and approved, a file is considered qualified and the CFA status is determined to be qualified and the regional tech will update it in the system

I hope this helps clear things up for everybody, but ultimately they changed their system that is why CFA scores are yellow and not green on some candidates.
