CFA Scores

I retook my CFA today and my improvements were as follows.

Basketball throw: 45ft--> 50ft
Pull-ups: 7 --> 12
Shuttle run: 10.1-->9.5
Crunches: 95--> 95
Push-ups: 50--> 52
Mile Run: 8min 2 sec --> 7 min 34 sec

I submitted these scores to West Point but would also like to have them considered at the Naval Academy- I sent USNA the first column of scores. I technically passed with my original scores but I would prefer to have the improved scores considered (especially for the run).

The issue is that West Point does not allow coaches to proctor the test but Navy does. Therefore, I took the test with a different person the second time. I sent all this information to my admissions counselor and was wondering if there were any additional steps I need to take.

This is just a follow-up from my post yesterday-

Looking through the forum and the Naval Academy website I know that it is required to pass the CFA in order to be accepted to the academy. From what I've seen the value of the CFA has changed over the years but hovers at right around 5-10% of your application. I was wondering if PASSING the test is worth 5-10% or if your score itself is worth 5-10%.

In short, is the CFA like DoDMERB in that it is another box to check off, or is it similar to the SAT score requirement where a minimal score is required but an applicant should retake until they achieve a perfect score.

Any insight is appreciated!

I’ve heard from a number of people who have worked in admissions at USNA that in most situations, a passed CFA is a passed CFA, regardless of scores. That being said, if you already took another one, it’s definitely worth passing it up through admissions which you already have. Great job on the improvements, but don’t stop now just because you completed your application requirements. This is the first of many many many physical fitness tests you’ll be taking! Good luck!
