hi everyone,

i was curious about whether my cfa scores would be considered passing or not?

basketball throw: 90ft
pullup: 13
shuttle run: 8.4 sec
crunch: 95
pushup: 65
mile: 8:22

i'm mainly concerned about my mile time since i feel like that is the most important score. thank you!

For USNA, that should be a pass this year, even though your mile is slow. Not necessarily for the other academies. Wow on a 90 foot basketball throw!

yeah i trained a lot before my test and managed to run my fastest mile at 7:41 but historically i'm not a great distance runner and i cramped pretty badly during the test. im glad everything else is good though thank you!

You’re welcome. I’m answering you based on my son’s own passing scores this year. The mile time was an issue for him but he passed with a time slightly slower than yours. Of course, the faster you can be and the higher you can score on all events, the more competitive you’ll be since you’ll have a higher score. But the answer to the question as to whether you passed for USNA should be yes.

Other than your mile time, your numbers look great. They would give you a very strong overall score, in my opinion.

Running improves with running. So don't worry about that, and keep putting in the miles.

Any Plebe-to-be should be able to run a 7:00 mile. Just my opinion, mind you. As others have said, run more.
Max is 5:20 for males and 6:00 for females.

Running is something you'll do a lot of, so it's best to be better than average at it.
