CGA Laundry

Can anyone clarify how CGA laundry gets accomplished - Both for SWAB Summer and through the academic year? Is it an Individually responsibility on Sundays in barracks? Pickup and Drop off service? Golf Company?

I’ve no definitive info on the matter and DD is getting mixed theories/guesses. Would appreciate someone sharing the ground truth. Thanks in advance.
 
There's three laundry rooms in Chase Hall that don't cost anything for cadets to use.
Cadets do all their own laundry, with the exception of dry cleaning which cadets pay for out of pocket. (4/c can only use this for specific items like their dress pants and jacket).

During swab summer, cadre do the swabs' laundry.

My cadet is a big fan of the laundry detergent sheets. They hardly take up any room and work very well. He ordered them from Amazon.

DD said all the swab summer laundry is done together--whites, lights and darks in the same wash--so don't be surprised if some items are trashed by the end of the summer.

This is how most Cadets do it anyways, so that they don't have to take up an entire day doing laundry and/or have to keep three separate laundry bags. Because of this, cold water is almost always chosen. I've never really heard of widespread issues of things being trashed, although I'm sure it does happen, but don't let it scare you too much.
 
Good preparation for sea duty, when all white underwear turns a dingy gray.
