    Hello!

I am not sure if I should submit my AROTC scholarship application to the first submission board or not. Right now I have a ton of leadership extracurriculars, involved in sports with leadership positions, have a 4.0 GPA, am currently salutatorian in my class, and have taken both the SAT and ACT. My SAT super score right now is 1130 and ACT is 23. I am planning to take both again in the fall for other scholarship opportunities, and most likely won't receive my scores back for the first September submission deadline.

Should I submit it now with those scores? Or chance it by missing a submission deadline in hope of getting higher scores?

It doesn't matter too much anyway because you can update SAT and ACT scores at a later date if necessary. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and wait because you're not going to get chosen in the 1st round with this scores on the 1st board. The 1st board is when all the 32+ACT type folks get picked.

I had almost the exact same SAT score, same ACT score, a 3.55 UW / 3.74 W GPA, solid leadership, and physically fit. I was viewed by all three boards and did not receive a scholarship. The assistant PMS that did my interview said I was definitely competitive, but in the end I didn't get a national AROTC scholarship.
I did, however, pick up a 3-year campus based scholarship (which I am very grateful for!!). There is always a way -- it just may not be the way you imagined or hoped. Keep your head up and don't lose sight of what's important. Please do me a favor, enjoy your senior year. Don't let scholarships and admissions stress you out like I did.. looking back, I wish I would've used my free time to relax instead of freak out.
    Best of luck.
