I know there are a million of these threads, but I 'd really like to know if I have a chance at attending USNA.

I am a current high school Junior and these are my stats

GPA : 4.6 weighted, 3.9 unweighted

SAT : 2330 (Superscored)

1 year jv wrestler, 2 year varsity wrestler

ASB (Student Leadership) 3 years as Freshman President, Sports Commissioner, and Junior Vice President (Hopefully I will win my ASB President election for next year)

Attending USNA Summer Seminar

I also write for my local city newspaper.

So, do I have a shot at USNA?

You are right. There are a million of these. Seriously, you should read the sticky post on this topic.

I think you already know, with a resume like the one you've posted, that you are going to be competitive at many schools. Unpack your SAT scores a bit and focus on Critical Reading and Math, especially Math. You could score an 800 in writing and it is not going to help you much in an engineering school.

Clearly, with the information you've put up here, you would be competitive for an appointment at USNA. Your credentials sound much like mine. Perhaps make an attempt to put in some service hours or find a regular volunteer gig. This helps to show that you're looking out for others, not just yourself. It can just be one thing that you do regularly, as long as it's something. Other than this, your stuff looks strong. Hop on the process with nomination and USNA applications early.

Good Luck!
