Change Senator Nom Preference?

Hello all! I received a nomination to USNA earlier this month from my congressman and I was wondering if I should ask the senator offices to compete for a USAFA nom instead of one to USNA. After searching the forums, it's my understanding that here in Maryland the congressmen and senators coordinate so as to not give an applicant more than one nomination to an academy. Would it be beneficial to contact the senatorial offices about this and shoot for a USAFA nom from them? Thanks for all your time and help!

I don’t know your specific district and where Senators and your Congressman/woman are in their nomination selection process. In Virginia the Senators and our congressman have already met and selected their nominees. I know that our senators only will offer nominations to a candidate’s first choice of SA. Virginia MOCs also try not to duplicate nominations. I don’t know about rearranging SA priorities this late in the process. The only suggestion, would be to contact your congressperson and explain that you would also like to be considered for USAFA if there is a chance of an additional nomination. You might get some feedback from the congressperson‘s office. I would hate you to give up what you have now for a possibility of a different nom this late in the nominating process.

Congrats on your USNA nom!!!

After getting my nom to USAFA by MOC I contacted Senator Cardin, but since interviews are done I could not be considered for any other SA other than the one I selected (USAFA). So my chance for a USNA nom from them is not possible.
