Citadel C/O 2026 - Thread

Hey guys I recently got accepted to the Citadel for Fall 2022, I hope to see you all in the near future. I wanted to come on here and pose a few questions about "The Checklist". There are five items that need to be completed for final acceptance. I completed my deposit and my school is going to handle my final transcript. That leaves me with three items left to complete. I was hoping someone could guide me in the right direction to where I should submit some of these forums; I know the drug consent forum has to be emailed to (admissions@citadel.edu). However, I do not know where to submit the "Proof of Legal Presence" or "The Citadels Medical Forms". Are these supposed to be emailed as-well, to admissions? I know it might be early for me to complete all these forms since the majority of them are due by May 1st, but I saw on page three of the medical form it states, "Forms are due BEFORE May 1. Forms will not be accepted once the class is full.". I plan on calling them tomorrow but didn't want to bother if someone on here already figured it out.

Congrats on your acceptance. I would reach out to your admissions contact regarding the procedure for form submittal. Things change year to year and it is best to get direction from the school. Good luck!

I just got accepted into the Citadel. Right now I think the only thing that might stop me from going is a lack of financial aid. I am from out of state, so I am really hoping to get an AROTC scholarship.
I need you to send two more messages, so I can PM you! I would like to discuss personally!

Thank you will do.

I thought I could make a thread just like the ones for the Service Academies, in which people can post here if they were accepted, going, not going, etc, etc..

Also, I found some information that is freaking me out just a bit.... The Citadel published the date for Matriculation Class of 2026, as being August 13, 2022..

298 DAYS LEFT OF FREEDOM
Congratulations on your acceptance, I received my certificate of academic acceptance on Monday see you on the quad in 283 days

I will be declining El Cid, due to me enlisting with USMC
Congrats on enlisting in the Marine Corps. If you have the ambition to be an officer in the Marine Corps, get you college degree while serving, there are an infinite options to do so these days - and apply to OCS. My son-in-law enlisted and served in the reserves while going to school. After he obtained his degree, he applied and was accepted to OCS - the Marines love “Mustangs!” He is now at 23 years active duty and attending the Marine Corps War College….persistence will pay off.

My daughter was accepted to The Citadel for the Class of 2026. Shortly after receiving her acceptance letter, we signed up to attend Inside the Gates. We flew out there from CA a couple weekends ago to attend it. What a great experience it was, and I would encourage anybody who is considering attending The Citadel to attend this program. We loved it! She is still awaiting letters from a couple other places before she commits, but The Citadel is a top contender! Go Bulldogs and congratulations to the others who have been accepted!

We attended Inside the Gates in October and came home to the acceptance letter a few days later. My son is considering mostly between Norwich and The Citadel. It's great that he has fantastic options to choose from! I'm sure your daughter will have the same. Is she considering other SMC?

Congratulations to your son too! She is waiting to hear from Texas A & M. That's the only other SMC she applied to.

Congrats man. Got my acceptance yesterday, I'll see you soon. Did you just ask your school to send the transcript after graduation or something? I'm not really sure what to do right now since I'm still on winter break and no one from school is responding lol

When I was a HS senior, you were required to 'Pre-knob' or spend a night in the barracks with other freshmen to experience what The Citadel was like before you attended.

The Citadel is a unique school and I highly recommend visiting prior to making your decision.

Late to this thread, but my DS was accepted to the Citadel with the AROTC scholarship. He also received NROTC with his first choice TAMU. He's still waiting on USNA, but planning to attend TAMU as his back up. We are from outside of Houston, so TAMU is right down the road and he really likes the comradery of the corps of cadets along with having a big school experience. Good luck to you all!

My son was accepted at the Citadel in mid-December and we visited it for the first time in February. We were all very impressed with the school and we all loved the City of Charleston (especially the weather - being from Vermont, temps in the 60s and 70s in February is a huge plus in the Citadel's column). Selfishly, his mother and I would be thrilled to be making visits to Charleston over the course of the next four years. The biggest downside we are finding with the Citadel, however, is cost. If he doesn't get a 3-year ROTC scholarship, the Citadel is going to be insanely expensive. With an older brother already in college and a younger sister following in another 2 years, the cost of the Citadel is certainly going to be a huge consideration.

Having gone to Norwich and having a son at The Citadel - Charleston is hard to beat. Good luck on the scholarship and school choice.
