Citizenship?

Hi all!

I am filling out the Candidate Personal Data form for my USMA application and had a question about citizenship. I am a US Citizen, but was born in another country. My father adopted me, and thus I became a citizen. Would I be considered Naturalized? I feel like this is the closest option, but got confused because I don't think I was "granted US citizenship through the US Immigration and
Naturalization Service"

Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks! It looks like I became a citizen under the CCA, which I'm assuming would make me be considered naturalized.

@hopefull2024. You are not a Naturalized US Citizen. You are a Certified US Citizen through your US Parent. It’s just another category of Citizenship like getting a Citizenship at Birth by a US Parent living Overseas. Citizenship is a Citizenship but yours is a better classification than being Naturalized. Citizens with Citizenship at Birth Overseas by a US Parent can run for the US Presidency like those born in the US 50 states. But Citizenship by a US Parent while under 15 years of age cannot run for the US Presidency since you had to be born as a natural born US Citizen.

I hope this answers your question. On your app I believe there is a section where you can designate your Citizenship as a Certified US Citizen.
