Civil Prep Appointment/TWE

This week I received an appointment to civil prep and in the letter it stated that accepting does not affect your chances of still being appointed this year. I am curious, do civil prep appointees still get a TWE for closure? When would I find out that I absolutely will not be accepted for 2021? Any info appreciated.

Not sure about TWE, DD got civil prep offer and has accepted. Still no TWE.
 
I'm mainly asking because the letter had some uncertainty and said something along the lines that "you may still receive an appointment for this cycle." Unfortunately my RC is not readily able to communicate

Congratulations! I meant to put that in first message DD got her civil prep offer over a month ago and still no TWE so I too am now wondering if it ever comes!
 
I'm thinking based on portal stating " Offered Appointment to Civil Prep" that the TWE won't come. They made an offer of appointment just to civil prep rather than direct.
 
@USMA21 I think it is highly unlikely that you will get a direct appointment this year but there is always a possibility. They start shifting around nominations and slates. You should plan on taking the civilian prep scholarship and get ready to start with your classmates next fall. It will be a great experience that will prepare you for your entrance with the class of 2022.

There are crazy exceptions every year about the person called two days before R-Day, but those are just that. The worse that happens is that you are all ready to go off to prep school and get a direct appointment/
