So how detailed is the pre-candidate application for those that opted ''yes" on summer seminar app?
Will there be additional essay questions? DS is eager and has in his mind he can hit 'submit' before heading out to school when long awaited March 1 finally arrives. I'm thinking not quite.

It’s very quick from my recollect. It gets tedious in July when they become candidates.

So the pre candidate question are u past that first correct? And then what do u become after getting through that?

I submitted the pre-candidate questionnaire today. My portal says

Applicant* (your application is under consideration)
Your Application is:
Pending Review

How long does admissions usually take to respond? or move me to candidate?

It will be a little bit. They are pretty bust working on this year's class. If I remember right, most things kick off July 1st.

I clicked "yes" to submit it for the class of 2023 and my status changed the other day to "competitive." It says in the letter that your status will not change to candidate until July 1st.

So read the above rolling deadline statement to mean--complete your application early. What is early? Early is by 31 Oct. Otherwise you are in the hordes of applications that must be read. Also complete your DoDMERB ASAP.
