Class of 2015 - Mailbox Stalkers Club

Still waiting in Texas. No BFE, no TWE, no status change and I have company coming so I can't spend all my time on the computer. On the bright side.... I have regrouted a bathtub, raked all the leaves in the front yard, and polished off two bottles of chardonnary in the last two weeks. On to #3 here in the next day or so...:confused:

Yes your at a disadvantage. But the system is designed to ensure geographic representation. Less folks in NM than CA.

Bottom line tho at this time is. All of us has the same stress level. Even with 3 noms we are sweating this thing.

Both of my kids had 3 noms. I guess it is true when they say it only takes 1. Keeping my figers crossed for you.
 
Is it a bad thing now when I am happy that there isn't an envelope from the Academy in the mail?? Still holding out hope in Illinois.:smile:
 
I called my admissions councelor today, and was told that I should know by Tuesday. AAHHH!!! One more week of waiting!
 
I feel the same way Mattsmom2015. I feel like I've been waiting so long that there's no chance I'm in! Stressful.

My DS, too, has 3 noms: both Senators and the Congressman. Still nothing: no mail, no vm from MOC, and no portal change. ???? Still holding out hope.
 
Twe in Oklahoma today

My son received his twe today. Qualified but no room, will let you know if a slot opens up.:( he doesn't know yet.

Gosh, I wish I could get out of the office early, but it's tax season and I am so swamped! I can't even believe how much time I spend being in this forum. I just do a few cases, then I "reward" myself a few minutes to come here... This is addictive!!! BTW, I also get dreams about this whole thing...

After the BBQ and margaritas, I'd also love to head over to Burke Williams Day Spa and get a massage, a body wrap, a hot oil treatment and a blow dry for my hair right now....:shake::smile::wink::cool:

We are in the same boat here in Oregon. I think my DS is much more patient than I. I sooooooo want to call but he said he wants to wait for the mail such discipline!

michell: So sorry to hear about your DS's TWE. I can feel your heartbreak with your sad face :(. My prayers for you and your DS. Sigh... :frown:

Keep in mind that there are so many other options available to him, check out the thread "If you get a TWE..." or something like that... Bec he's made it this far, he's obviously a great kid & he has a great future ahead of him. Check out some of the other posts from Flieger93 and others about their TWE stories... They are all so very inspiring!:wink::thumb:

Hang in there and please keep us posted if your DS gets a Prep School or Falcon Foundation offer. Best to you and yours!

(As for us, we continue to wait here in So. CA... I'm still hopeful but really worried we are going to get the TWE QNV letter at this point...:confused:)

Mail came today and nothing. Tomorrow is my DS's 18th birthday and I am praying for a BFE in the mail. I so wish I could go to sleep NOW and wake up at mail time tomorrow. This is making me crazy. I am supposed to be the adult and set a good example but my DS is playing that role now. All of these posts going around that if you havent heard by now it is most likely a TWE are making me crazy. I am going to continue to remain confident and remember the fact that these kids are EXCEPTIONAL no matter what envelope arrives.

Mateson : It's tough not to know. But more and more people are starting to find out what their status is. The best thing anyone can suggest to you is to keep your head in it. Generally the kids manage this situation very well, that is why they got this far to begin with.

No matter what happens, take full measure of it. There are so many people on this forum who are wishing the best for you, your family, and others who are waiting or have found out that this might not be their year to enter the academy. Come what may, your fellow forum members will still be here once you find out and they can be a great resource going forward.

I have a question...(don't mean to make everyone paranoid here).....what happens if the AFA letter goes to the wrong mailbox?

Has that ever happened where a candidate gets an appointment offer, but it never gets delivered to the correct address??????

Your online application would show your status. Just hang in there. The wait will eventually end.

I don't know about usafa, but when I declined my appointment to usmma they sent me a letter today. It told me I rejected the appointment, but if this information was wrong I had 72 hours to call admissions to correct the incident. Hope that helps.
 
So I don't know what some of you will think about this but regarding the going to wrong mailbox. My friend was sent an appointment at the beginning of march and actually received another one a week ago or so. He was offered 2 appointments!! Somewhat funny and everyone was joking that they would 'buy' it from him. Sorry for those of you who received TWEs but stay confident and if USAFA is where you want to be remember that and don't let it be a no let it be a wait a year. Good luck to
those of you still waiting!!

I can tell you that we, in Illinois, received an LOA for someone in Michigan. It was stuck to the back of a letter sent to my DS. I was able to find his family on FB and forward the letter to him, after some email confirmation.
