After graduating, will cyber security officers be required to stay on a cutter, or will they be stationed @ fort meade or similar posts? Thanks

I am certainly not the most qualified to answer this, but I can say that most if not all cyber officers are stationed on land. With that in mind, there are multiple flavors of Cyber - recommend checking this link.

Also, I would strongly recommend against attending the CGA for anyone not at least interested at some level in going to sea, even if it just "tolerable." Some people here are staunchly anti-cutter, and it makes no sense - 90 percent of us, give or take, will go to sea immediately upon graduation, although there is chances to move ashore after those first two years (or sometimes sooner). You have a much better chance of not going to sea immediately at USNA or even KP.

Personally, I never really had a burning passion for going to sea but always thought it would be kind of cool. Now that I've done it a little bit, I enjoy it a lot, even though it is still not my desired career path.

See, I thought I already was a cyber officer.... not in the way it would have been used 25 or so years ago in an AOL chatroom though.

I seem to remember a Graduate of the class 2019 was stationed at Sector for Cyber. I'd suggest replaying the video Billet night if its still available.

There are several openings on the Billet List this year for Cyber - based in Alexandria.

There are seven billets listed as "ESOB -DUTY." I didn't know what that was and a quick google search suggested it might be Engineering Services and Operations Branch of the Information Assurance Division at TISCOM.

TISCOM = Telecommunication and Information Systems Command
