MS 4 should commission in spring. Unfortunately failed fall pt test. Because of this they did not submit paperwork but she has continued with commissioning physical and completed and passed all other check boxes. Since paperwork was not submitted when is next date for submission. Thanks for any information.

What paperwork are you referring to? Did she receive her component (Active Duty, NG, Reserves) in October? Has she completed her TAB profile and submitted her branch preferences? If so, it will be the discretion of the PMS as to when she is able to take another PT test. I can probably provide insight with some more detail.

Thanks no she did not receive her component but is my understanding has completed her branch preference. The last thing she needed to do was the physical and 12 mile ruck which were completed /passes two weeks ago. Thanks for any in sight.

What has her chain of command said about her retest? I would be pretty persistent about a retest opportunity. Hopefully she is ready to take it at any moment and knock it out if the park!

Far be it from me to sound like a $!@& but does the daughter care enough about being an officer to actually prepare for a physical fitness test?

My son is in his 30s and would dive into a morbid depression if he came in behind one of his 19 year olds in a unit run or other physical event. When he was CO of Mobility Assault Company of the First Marine Division which is as cool as it sounds, ate under-performing officers for lunch. It didn't take long though as he only eats once a day. I'll tell you this, the officer who shows up to a command and cannot keep up, will start with a terrible reputation that will follow said officer for a long time.

It takes effort, time, and giving a darn to be physically, tactically, and intellectually proficient to be an effective military leader. The lives of warriors depends on this. This is no game.

Harsh I know, but I have brought back more of my people alive than dead.

I know an above reply mentioned you need a passing APFT to go through accessions. I have cadets in my program who have failed their APFT this semester but are still going through accessions. Obviously, it differs between programs. The best advice I can give is to have your cadet follow up with cadre about taking a retest ASAP.
