Competitive SAT score?

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask a question regarding SAT scores, since I couldn't really find a concrete answer online (I could only find ranges and not actual scores). I took my first SAT back in August and just got my scores back yesterday and I was wondering what scores a "competitive" applicant should have? Also, what would be a good score on the essay portion?

The most recent demographic profile I could find showed that mean scores for the Class of 2021 were: 661 for Reading & Writing, and 673 for Math.

According to the class of 2022 profile which excludes the Internationals and Prep graduates, Math: 650-740 Read&Writing: 630-710
