Computer insurance

Do cadets pay for their computer insurance out of their monthly pay? Automatic deduction? I was told that they pay a premium for that but have no knowledge of how, how much or how often? Thanks!

As I recall, and I could be wrong, my DD (2014) was billed initially and I think it was a quarterly payment. This was before she banked with USAA. I believe now that she has them as her bank it shows under her accounts. Like I said though, this is going back a few years and I could be totally wrong on all accounts. I will try to message her and get back if there are no other replies with better information.

DD ('15) received an email from USAA last week about the computer insurance. You can set up an automatic payment or elect to so what she wanted us to do - pay the bill...

DS does his banking with USAA, so he has his insurance payment as a monthly deduction from his USAA checking account. We helped him get his insurance setup before he left for BCT. He has renter's insurance including the computer coverage and non-owner auto insurance which was significantly less expensive than leaving him on our policy. I was unwilling to remove him from of our auto policy without him having his own liability coverage.
