There are many factors to consider for being appointed. One single course will not typically make a difference. Given that, generally stronger math and science courses are preferred. Can you take AP Statistics for example? If you've taken the next sequential course in Calc.-good, if not, you really should be taking the next level of Calc. Lab sciences may also be better, especially if you get an A. AP Physics if you have not taken that. Even an AP level writing class can be beneficial. Good luck.

No single class you take during your senior year is going to make a difference either way. You should endeavor, however, to take the most challenging classes available to you and do well in them.
