I received a LOA, but its contingent on my medical status. My admissions counselor said I will be evaluated for a waiver by the medical team at USNA.
The thing is, I'm disqualified for eczema, but I've never actually been diagnosed with eczema. My hands used to get dry and chapped during the winter and we always called it eczema, but it hasn't been a problem since early in middle school. So, when I filled out the form for DoDMERB last summer, I just checked the box for eczema because I never thought it would be a problem.
During the fall I contacted DoDMERB to try to get it fixed because they asked for a "receipt of remedial," and I explained it to them but the medical code 111.10 is still active.
Is there anything I can do about this or should I just be patient? I just don't want something small like this to keep me out of the academy.
