Conditional Appointment?

I recently received a principal nomination to USAFA. I am done with everything except for DoDMERB. Since principal apparently means they must accept me assuming I am 3Q, will I receive a conditional appointment soon? Or will they likely just wait for everything to clear up and then send unconditional? Thanks!

If and when you are found fully qualified, which includes DoDMERB, with a principal nom, you should receive an offer of appointment, at some point between now and May.

If you’re asking whether you will be getting a Letter of Assurance from USAFA, which assures you of an offer and usually names conditions which must be met, it’s possible but I suspect unlikely. They use that as a class-shaping tool in many ways.

You are in good shape. Get your PT in, tend your alternate plans until you can safely let them go, and practice the fine art of hurry up and wait.
