I received this email - Congratulations! You are being offered a LETTER OF ASSURANCE (LOA), which is a Conditional Offer of Appointment. This means that if you complete the remaining requirements for admissions, you will be offered an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. " - I have been asked to complete DoDMERB Body Fat Determination Form (DD Form 2632). How strict it is...I am already working on getting down under 170 lbs. for a 5 ft 9 inch. frame. I have my congressman nomination interview tomorrow - can I share this information there? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely, let the Congressman's office know you that you have an LOA.

The Admissions website has a height/body weight table, but can use body fat in circumstances where weight alone isn't an accurate measure. 5'9 and 170 lbs is well within the table, so unclear why they are asking for body fat.

Congratulations, and best of luck with MOC interview.

Thank you so much ! This will help me prepare for tomorrow.

You asked how strict it is. What you have to do is satisfy the condition(s) of the offer. Your LOA states that if you do that, you're in.
Whatever you do, make sure that you completely satisfy that condition, listed next to "Required Actions:"

For height and weight, you have to be within the medical standards as set forth in Appendix 1 - https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/_files/documents/MedicalAppendix1.pdf

Congratulations. You are very close.

THParent: This is exactly what our son received 2 weeks ago. His apps for noms were submitted about 5 weeks ago. Only one (MOC) requires an interview, so we are waiting on that. (his deadline for applications is October 31. Website says interviews will be scheduled for November)

Do you happen to know what the deadline is for nominations? I'll probably post about this.

Nomination deadlines vary widely by Member of Congress. You do what they tell you to do, and when. If you have complied with their requirements, you just wait to get the interview and (hopefully) do well in that interview.
Now, if you're talking about when the USNA APPLICATION needs to be complete (including at least one nomination), that is January 31st.

Maybe I worded it wrong - I was wondering when MOC/Senator has to submit noms to USNA.

MOCs must submit their slates by January 31st.

Thank you so much. I had my Congressman interview yesterday and showed them the email from USNA. I am hoping I get recommended. This is what my application portal says. Do you know if the form will be emailed or mailed I have not received it yet? I am well below the max weight required now. So no issues there. Thanks.LOA.jpg

Check your EMail SPAM folder if you haven't seen it yet. Also check in the DoDMERB site that you login to. It may be downloadable from that site, as well.
It is probably available in a fillable-PDF form, as most Department of Defense forms are. I didn't not find it online from any government site.
Do NOT get in a yank and try to find it at any non-government site. That's a good way to get some sort of spyware or malware.

Also, most DoD forms have a version number and expire date in the top right corner. Make sure the one you're filling out isn't an old form.
It will also have the address to which to send it, at the top. Something along the lines of 8034 Edgerton Drive, Suite <number>, United States Air Force Academy, CO 80840-2200.

I didn’t get a LOA, but I did get an appointment letter on Thursday afternoon!! Checked my portal: APPOINTMENT PLEASE CONFIRM
