to all those who recieved the primary slot and offered admission!! I'm on the NWL but heard today WP may take 50 at most from the NWL so just a shoutout to those who got acceptance! Good luck to all of us on the NWL. May we all have great Plan B & C's. haha !

seems not to concur with another post last week http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/showthread.php?t=23960 post #8, that noted that about 450 got in via NWL last year, and this year, with 200 fewer spots in the admissions class, 450-200= 250 approx. spots from NWL.

I think he means 200 appointments are made through ROTC nominations.

Also, I think there is only 1 Vice-Presidential nomination and appointment.

It's definitely not 50, they are required to take around a third of the candidates on the NWL which is usually 400-500 candidates. So just nab one of those top spots and you'll be fine. Candidates on the NWL wont hear back from admission until March because the deadline is Feb. 28 and they are giving all NWL candidate equal opportunity to beef up their apps. I called my liaison and asked him ways I can improve my rank on the NWL and the only thing you can really do is just update them on anything you possibly can. I'm getting my eagle scout in a week so that may boost my WCS. Good Luck to you!!

They only appoint 20 across the nation for the ROTC category. not 200...

Not sure,but my admissions liaison officer said probably 50-100 will be taken since they cut total population again (they did this last year too). The total class size will only be 1150 this year. also was told only 100 from the NWL were picked up last year also.
