Driving DD back to USNA last week, as we drove over the Naval Academy bridge and USNA buildings and grounds came into view, DS (who applied for class of 2020 and did not get in) said "The place sure does have some curb appeal"
Well said. I feel that way every time we visit.

It does ..and you appreciate it more the longer you have been out ! I think that it was in David Poyer's Return of Philo McGiffen that quipped "the best view of USNA is in the rear view mirror as you leave .." That was true when I graduated (30+ years ago), but I love returning now.

That is called 'Oh shoot hill!' Ok so not shoot but a 4 letter word. Mids call it that because as a Plebe you get a sick feeling going back. The rest of the years it's just more the feeling of a long week before another weekend. It is a great view.

Stopped at the overlook recently with my wife (her 2nd visit to USNA) and son (his 1st visit to USNA).

After 22 years, the place looks better than ever.

Ran my 1st "inner" since 1994; words cannot convey the emotions I experienced.

Beat Army!
