Asking any current cadets. Is it possible/available to eat a plant based diet while at the academy? I am not one who does but I am curious as to if it is possible while attending.
 
Some manage*. I've heard of it. Definitely not during summer field training unless miraculously you always managed to always get the vegetable crumbles MRE (not something I'd wish on anyone). There is always a salad bar with a good selection of produce and fruit. I guess if you made regular PX runs and essentially meal prepped out of your company fridge it'd be possible. That being said I think you'd go insane.
 
It is possible to eat a vegetarian diet at USMA. There is a companymate of mine who went through Beast with it, and during the school year they do accommodate as well. Just make sure to let your Beast Cadre know and they will make sure that you get what you need.
