I logged into DoDMERB for the first time this morning as I heard it was finally up. I attended both of my exams in October. My current medical status is marked “Awaiting Receipt of Initial Medical Exam.” However, under the documents section my exam is listed and a PDF is attached which I viewed and is my exam. Towards the end of the PDF there is a page titled “Incomplete Examination Report.” The reason is marked other and they’ve written in “sitting height out of range 10/26/22”

I am female and my height is 64 inches and my sitting height was recorded as 38 inches. Is this abnormal? A disqualification? Can I get a waiver for this?

I’m a little confused since the information on the portal seems contradictory. This may be due to the outage and the website just being put back up. I appreciate any insight from those familiar with the process.

My son had exams sent by DODMETS to DoDMERB almost eight weeks ago and his also says “awaiting receipt of initial medical exams.” Although the framework of the website is up I believe they are still inputting data and all of the manual processing results. It says something about that in the message on the home screen. I was hoping for 100% working when the site popped back up but I think we will have to wait a little longer.

My son has downloaded his information packet to take to his exam today. However, the “download information packet” is not checked green on the DODMERB page. We actually downloaded it a month or so ago as well. Is that because he hasn’t has his exam yet?

This is what I was thinking as well. Glad to know I’m not alone, thanks for the input :)

That box never became checked for me after printing it, the exams and after becoming qualified.

My DD took her medical exams on 12/6 and 12/7, DodMets confirmed everything was sent to DODMERB on 12/8. Just looked at her DodMERB status, showing applicant added to system 01/08/2023, Awaiting Receipt of Medical Exam. No other info. We'll sit tight for the time being and wait for them to catch up!

One more question. Is there only one login for everything pertaining to DODMERB? People are mentioning that they can’t log in now that it’s back up (or close). My son has always been able to log into DODMETS site. Is the DODMERB site different?

DoDMETS is the govt contractor who coordinates with the exam providers and candidates. That’s a log-in.

DoDMERB is a DoD agency charged with overseeing medical accession processing and evaluation against the accession standard, serving various “clients,” such as a SA or ROTC program. It is the clearinghouse for information for the client and the candidate. That’s another log-in. That’s the website that has been down, disrupting all kinds of information flows.

I see the medical result on the DoDMerb website. Do you know how long will it take for Academies to get the result and post it on the applicant portal?

My son got a call from USMA RC yesterday and he was told that all backlog of exams currently in the system will be posted and transmitted to the academy within two weeks. My DS has been waiting eight plus weeks since DODMETS sent his completed exams to DODMERB with no posted results yet, and no communication despite repeated inquiries by us. Hopefully we are near the end of this situation. When process was working properly it only took a couple weeks for a determination and results to be posted on academy portals.

thank you! We are waiting more than 8 weeks. I hope it will be resolved soon.

Capo MJ,
I have a question. My son has a DODMETS account but never created an account for DoDMERB before site crashed back in Oct. He just tired yesterday and today and still unable to create an account. It keeps saying “page error” web server is experiencing a problem ….message.
Is there a deadline to create a DODMERB account? He will try daily but I was just afraid that there was a deadline. Thank you. Any insight would be appreciated.

Try the classic clear cache, different browsers including Internet Explorer, turn off/on, retry.

He can email or call DoDMERB to see what is going on. They may not have completely reloaded data onto the refurbished system.

He can now go to the DoDMERB TRICARE landing page and work through the left-hand side menu, and dive into Contacts. He’ll find the person assigned to his place in the alphabet.

Thank you so much. I will pass this information along!

I’ve already received my appointment to USMA and my sitting height is 33 inches at 5’8 and the same “incomplete examination report” . Safe to say have some long legs. But no, I do not believe you will get a disqualification!

My DS exams finally arrived at DODMERS today. They have his sitting height as 34. He is 6ft 2. Those are some LONG legs.
There is no request for more information. Will they reach out to him if there is an issue.

Ms Edmond was very helpful to my DD when we recently had DODMERB account and status problems also the help desk folks were responsive, too.
