How long does it typically take for USNA to respond with a confirmation email for a CVW? DS said ‘about two weeks’. But that was three and a half weeks ago. TDH was asking me so he can request time off from work to go with DS.

DS doesn’t want to be a pest and email or call. But we need to shop plane tickets and hotel for the TDH before to long.

We are in the same situation. My DS called and left a voicemail yesterday, and also emailed. No response to either yet...

Same here - its been about 3 weeks and have not heard anything. I am assuming I am not in the cut for that particular weekend. However to hear I am not the only one who is left without a confirmation (or denial because the weekend is full) gives me some solace.

Package is complete, MOC/Senator Nom packages complete, NROTC Scholarship app is complete, I have my acceptance to my NROTC first choice and I am running twice a day (besides football.) Currently sitting at lunch at school combing the boards.

All I can do is wait

.
Our daughter was very anxious for a confirmation at this time last year .... I think it may have taken as much as 3 weeks or more to get the Confirmation date, Itinerary and What to Bring list.
.
Just be patient.

I got an email saying the weekend I selected was full. They requested I select a different date, so I did. About 1 week later, I got confirmation via email that I'd be attending that date. Hope that helped?

Brigade just Reformed today so Midshipmen are busy. And Plebes you will be rooming with are just introduced to the Brigade. So give the Academy another week to get back into business. Normally first CVW is in late Sep for the Fall.

these were the dates last year

13-15 September
20-22 September
11-13 October
18-20 October

Thank you for letting me know. We will sit tight.

The dates provided in mid June to choose from were:
August 29 - 31
September 12 - 14
October 17 -19
November 14 - 16

August was to quick for us and November’s date is the weekend one of our Senators has his interviews. And September is fast approaching.

Thanks to each of you that replied. I appreciate it.

CVW's are by invitation... and based at least upon an initial evaluation that your application is competitive. It's not like a normal college visit where everyone is invited to visit. (There is an open brief put on by Admissions, but it doesn't involve an overnight stay).

I recently heard of a candidate sending an email to Admissions asking why they hadn't heard back on a CVW after two weeks, and the candidate hadn't even really started on his application. If you want to attend a CVW, get your application completed, and be patient.
