Hi everyone,
I received my appointment and accepted as of today, and I am currently working through some of the forms that I have to complete before R-day.
One of these forms is the DD Form 93, which is the record of emergency in case I became deceased during my service in the military.
The question I have is that the sections where it tells you to list your beneficiaries (the $100,000 death gratuity, the unpaid pay/allowances, and the direct disposition [PADD]) state "Military Only." Does anyone know exactly what this entails? Does it mean blood-related/adoptive family members can receive these benefits ONLY if they are in the military (because I have no family members within the military at this point...some used to be but they are either deceased or retired)? I don't want to submit the form without understanding what I am actually signing haha.
Thanks for the help!
