Just a quick post to give everyone out there stuck in the waiver holding pattern some HOPE. Keep in mind, everyone's time pattern is different. My DD applied to both the USAFA and the USMA. She has an LOA for the USMA. She completed her DODMERB exam (both medical and optical) in the middle of Sept. and received a DQ for vision. USAFA requested a waiver by the end of September and requested AMI by the beginning of October. AMI was submitted by the middle of october, and she received a waiver within 10 days. USMA requested a waiver the first week of October but did not request AMI until the end of October. She received her waiver today, 6 weeks after submission of AMI. She now is 3Qed with an LOA and nomination! Excellent Christmas gift! She still is holding out for a appointment to the USAFA too since she is also 3Qed with a nomination!
