Decision Notification Poll

A post to lighten up the forum a little bit as so many EA keep checking their portal for some news that hasn't arrived yet. :oops: Give me your best guess for Early Decision Notification release. Choose one of the following:

A: You think the decisions will come out in waves between ________ (insert date) and Dec. 23.
B: You think they will do one huge release on Dec. 23rd. (Crazy time to release notifications, right?)
C: You think they will wait until after the Holidays and release around January 15th.
D: You don't know, don't care, or don't want to speculate.
E: You aren't sure what Forum you are on OR how you even got here.

Keep in mind, nobody except Admissions actually knows so don't take this too seriously :benny monkeysmilies:

My GUESS is "A": In Waves Between December 1 - December 23rd.
 
My guess would be "B". From what I remember at the parents admissions briefing at the end of our son's AIM week, I seem to recall the admissions officer saying that there would be a mass release on December 23rd. I know that's how they did it (mass release) for AIM notifications, so I'm going to believe that this is the way they communicate. Just my 2 cents...
 
Based on historical data and the back walking they have done on how this year will be different, they will come out in waves starting tomorrow, although Thursday notifications will likely be from coaches to recruits and Friday will be direct notifications.

I heard a few folks at the Academy mention that a mass release a few days before Christmas might not be the best idea. LOL I mean, it would be an amazing Christmas for those who were offered an appointment but not so great for those who aren't. ;)

That's what I have heard all along but I thought it would be fun to see some responses on here. I know the anxiety is riding high for a lot of the applicants soooo an attempt to give them something to focus on other than their Bears Den - at least for a bit. :) Thanks for commenting the post!

I like that answer - very specific! Ok, so if it starts tomorrow, you win! It will be great to watch the forum light up with news!

My son did an overnight back in mid-September, he loved it too. In some ways, as much as we support him with his dream of attending a SA, we would be quite alright with him attending A&M and getting his commission through the Corps and ROTC there. It's a very cool and friendly place.

I believe that it will be A as well. Looking at past activity there will supposedly be a release before the end of this month, another earl-mid December, and another right before the deadline. Obviously I don't actually have any idea. Best of luck to all
 
I'm going with "C." I believe they (admissions) have had trouble with the large number of interview screenings and portal updates this year, and a pre-holiday release would be candy canes for some and coal for others. Week of January 6th is my bet. But that and a buck will buy you a scratch-off ticket.

@Montanaparent - the decision will be in Bears Den, I believe. I think the email will direct you to check your bears den account. Just a guess - but that seems pretty true to what I have heard. My DD has already received notifications from other colleges and they were all in the University Portals. :)

@HCopter - thanks for playing along with this thread. I think, sometimes, on here - a little humor could go a long way. :) :biglaugh:
