To start it off, I applied for Early Decision to VMI around November and in December I got a letter saying that they wanted to see first semester grades, so I was deferred. Today, I was on my phone and got a message saying "Congratulations on your appointment to VMI!" although I did not send in my first semester grades. My post view account is updated and I have new documents saying they're required, but I'm still confused. I guess I was accepted even though I never sent in my first semester grades?

You might want to give VMI admissions a call to confirm if it is a offer. Maybe they didn't get as many early decision acceptances as they thought and added you to the list. Maybe they reviewed it and changed there minds....or it is a weird glitch. Best to call and confirm. If it is a offer, congratulations!!

I had this exact same thing happen to me. I called and they confirmed that I had been accepted. I sent my grades from semester one about a week ago and just recived confirmation that all of my documents had been recived except for my final transcript. Goodluck and hope to see you in the fall.
