Deposit on R-Day

I have heard that there used to be a $2000 deposit due before R-Day to put toward the cadet account. I can't find any recent information about that. Did class of 2025 have to pay this deposit?

2025‘s was not required to put a $2000 deposit down. We were told that it was done away with.
 
I am looking at the Cadet Budget Pay for 2021-2022 & it appears the deposit was still in there. Now whether they asked the cadets to pay for it ahead of time like previous years or not that may have been handled very differently. Who knows. I don’t see how the Class of 2025 would not have been require to pay for that.

I paid the $2000 before R-Day in 2013 for my DS 2017 grad but this time around for my DS 2025 no $2000 deposit was required. This made me smile....

They did away with that.
