good day
I for d155.80 and 152.00. Although I already submitted my documents- days letter after they reviewed I was sent those codes but nothing new was in my correspondence as to what to do to handle this process.
D155.80- Astigmatism in excess of 3.00 diopters(mine is 3.25)
D152.00- Corneal dystrophy or degeneration of any type, including but not limited to keratoconus

I gave Dodmerb all what they required and then I get this from them- which are both aparrebtly
Disqualifying codes. Can a waiver still be pursued.
They haven’t DQ’d me yet as the heading still says “pending waiver submission/review “
I am unsure what to do. I will reach out to my processor during the week but just reaching out here to seek some insight
Thank you

I am in a similar position as I have also received a DQ and am "pending waiver submission/review". From my understanding and information from the academy, there is nothing to do but wait.

I'm also in the similar situation. Either you will be disqualified for final, given a waiver, or requested of more information. Westpoint called me and said I'm disqualified for final while USNA requested more medical examination for my eyes.

What is your eye glasses prescription?

I'm wondering if you're correctable to 20/20. Usually, the "corneal dystrophy" issue would prevent someone from being correctable to 20/20.

If you have keratoconus, then I think a waiver will be difficult. It's progressive and ultimately could make your vision worse and regular lenses won't be enough to correct you to standards.

Thank you
I cAnt remember my prescription but I don’t have keratoconus. I was tested for it already. But my vision with glasses is 20/20

Each commissioning source reviews and approves its own waivers. If you are competitive on your nomination slate, top 2-3, they will almost immediately start the waiver process.

If you are further down the slate and your chances of an appointment are slim, then they will mostly like not request one.

It is impossible to determine your chances for a waiver unless your RC tells you. Just because someone else got one for the same condition in a week, you may never get one.

Thank you so much for that update
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a waiver.
If a waiver is not granted- is that the end the road? Or there is still a chance?

Unfortunate, not having a waiver approved is pretty much the end of the road at USMA. Other commissioning sources have their own requirements for waivers but the Army tends to be the most forgiving.

They only way it may not be the end of the road is for conditions that are DQ'd just for time, example would be surgery 6 months ago. The next cycle would put the surgery 18 months ago and you may be re-considered.
