Hi SAF Nation -
I’m posting this on behalf of DS. He knows - but isn’t on SAF. Of all the remedial issues from an exam, DS has to write a note about some scratches on his arm from an angry
basketball player. We expected the accutane letter but really expected questions related to 3 surgeries (he brought supporting documentation for those & sailed through those). So.... he’s plays the #5 position (the “big” / the rebounder) & some kid got mad at DS for boxing him out so grabbed DS’s arm and dug his nails into DS, which left marks. I get it - DoDMERB is asking about self harm.... but how much does DS say in letter? I had no idea how physical high school/travel basketball can get but it does, especially for those kids doing the “dirty work” under the basket. Just want to make sure enough is said but maybe they don’t want that much detail? Has anyone had experience w/ this? Thank you in advance. DS just got email so hasn’t even started in the note yet - he plans on taking care of it tonight....
