When doing my DoDMETS survey, I did not know that they can't access your medical records until after I completed my survey. Having said that, I put down some conditions I had/have that may not have been needed to include. My question is, if they request my medical records (for my stated conditions), will they only see the records concerning those particular conditions, or will they want to see EVERYTHING on my medical record history? For example, I have a ganglion cyst on my middle finger, which is somewhat noticeable. If they ask me for medical records for my finger, will they only see the records for my finger, or my entire medical record.
P.S. Will that cyst get me disqualified? If so, can it be easily waiverable? It doesn't impede my life in any way.
Thanks.

DoDMERB will request what is needed to render an accurate evaluation. Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" you can read all about the process :wiggle:

@MullenLE: Thoughts on ACL reconstruction within 1 year of reporting? Would that be waivable if cleared by the surgeon to resume all activities?
Thank you in advance!

To add on to this, I submitted my candidate kit a couple of weeks ago and haven't received an email from DoDMERB yet. Checked my spam folder and everything. Is this normal or do I need to contact them?

And you posted this on USAFA as opposed to DoDMERB ... why?

Send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your posting above to YOUR email. The subject line of the email should be “wtayroy - SAF =DoDMERB and Medical Records .“ Do NOT embed links in your email as I will not be able to view those. :wiggle:
