I'm in the Middle East right now and my mom called this morning saying that my first dodmerb appointment is august 15. I'm slightly confused. In my portal, it says that USNA has only received my CFA. Everything else is waiting to be submitted. I sent my transcripts back in June, along with my SAT scores and they're still not in. Also, I filled out the candidate activities record, etc. STILL waiting for counselors to submit.

I know Dodmerb only contacts you if you're application is at least halfway completed. Is there a chance that the academy has received all my transcripts, SAT scores, etc. and just hasn't updated my portal?

I believe USNA waits till your application is half way through to have DODMERB info sent to you, but USMA does it sooner. Did you apply to West Point as well? At least that's how it was for me. Either way, DODMERB (or actually concorde) sends you info on how to schedule your physical and with who, they don't actually schedule it themselves. Again, this was just my experience. Im not sure if it is that way for everyone.

Wow! Our experience is totally different. Could be my son is being recruited as an athlete as well though. He has only partial filled out his app to USNA, but has completed the pre-app for USAFA and been to their Summer Seminar. We finished DoDMerb about a week and a half ago. I was really surprised when I checked his status to see that it was originated by USNA. He is qualified, which makes both of us happy. Two years ago it was a nightmare for my daughter, but she did eventually make it in. I know USAFA is switching application programs and have been told to not expect anything until the 10th of August. This is a long process, and not for the faint of heart. The process itself requires stamina and perseverance.

I think a few of you who submit early in the admissions process will find that, in order to even out the DoDMERB workload, that the request for your medical exam might be submitted prior to the 50% mark. Not positive but it seems to be a valid observation over the past four years or so since USNA went to the 50% completion requirement. So don't read too much into the scheduling policy.

I have opened up my application to USAFA and USNA as well and did not receive anything in the mail for DODMERB. Seeing as this is my third time applying I have to complete DODMERB again because it is only good for 2 years. So instead of waiting to hear from them I went online and scheduled my appointments and finished my last appointment this morning. It may be that they have not sent the information, but you can still log in on DODMERB and go to your appointments. That is what I did, but like I said I learned that from experience over the past 2 years.

I also havent recieved any mail for DoDMERB. but when I went online and scheduled my appointments they said my name had been sumbitted
