I am still waiting on the status of my waiver for astigmatism.

The fall semester is nearing fast and this scholarship is my means of paying for my education.

Does anyone have any information on the likeliness of my waiver getting approved

I was DQ'd for Astigmatism exceeding 3.00 diopters

Both my eyes are correctable to 20/20
My astigmatism is at 3.75 and 4.00

Thanks in advanced

My son had the same astigmatism as you and received a waiver for USNA, USAFA, USCGA and NROTC. He did have to get a topography of the retina which was requested by dodmerb. Good luck!

Hey Swimmermama,

That is good to hear that your son received a waiver for the astigmatism. I guess if they want you enough they will waiver anything. My oldest is at USAFA and his middle brother who is a Sophomore is interested, but his vision is pretty bad but correctable. He fits the other vision requirements but his astigmatism is 3.25/4.0. I was not sure if they will waiver it or not,
