A week and a half ago, DS had his physical and eye exam via the DoDMETS system. All went pretty normal and uneventful, with the exception of the Dr's office asking for our insurance information. They said we wouldn't have to worry about it, so of course we obliged and gave them the information. Today in the mail, we received a bill from the Dr's office labeled ROTC physical. Billed to our insurance, stating that our portion due now is $121.00, I am confused at this. I thought only further testing or retesting was at our expense. Any ideas?

Call DoDMERB. They will be able to assist you.

Let this be a lesson though: if one is dealing with an exam such as this don't let them take your personal insurance information. They (the system) will find a way to mess it up.

Navy92, sorry you have to go through this pain in your side. For all those other lurkers, we received written instructions via DodMets portal not to give any insurance information for DoDMERB exams. If they ask, do not provide it and let them know that your exam is paid for by the government. Ha! That should make anybody cringe :D
