yes the site said it would be down from 4 to 8 mountain time so here in about 5-10 minutes it should be up and running!:thumb:

Did they mention which day the site was going to be back up at 8 PM MT?

8:03 am no connection. Out of sorts w/o checking DodMERB, like no coffee in the AM

so it's not just me

Well, at least now I know it's not just my computer. My fanatasy: Imagine that when dodMerb comes back on line, it will have what we are all waiting as its updates. Now, wouldn't that be fun?

No DoDMERB yet!

As of 7:25am CST, DoDMERB not running. What does the site say when a decision is still pending?

In terms of acceptance to an academy, the site says "In Process" if you haven't been accepted yet. It changes to "offer extended" if the candidate gets an appointment.

wingnut, I was thinking the same thing...maybe it's taking them longer than they expected to change all those "in process" to "offer extended"!!! jk!

More frustrating for us:unhappy: There was a vehicle accident that knocked the power out on USAFA. We exepct things to be up and running today, but there may be some residuals this evening.:thumb:

THANKS, Mr. Mullen!

It's strange how checking Dodmerb becomes a part of your morning routine.

Thanks, again, for keeping us updated!

updates?

I was wondering how that worked. Is it manually done by DODMERB personnel at the Springs or is is automated based on electronic forms filled in by the staff at the respective academies? In either case my next question is, is it done via a batch file of sorts like during maintenance hours or are all updates real time? Perhaps Mr. Mullen could shed some light and it may cause us DODNerds to limit the number if times we make requests from the server if we knew how futile it could be.

The DoDMERB site is updated accordingly:

1. Application/Waiver Status = Whenever the program download information to us. Different programs download differently. I won't go beyond that answer.
2. Meets/Done NOT meet standards = within 10 minutes after the determination is made.
3. Remedials = "Normally" within 1 to 48 hours after received, it is scanned an available for review.
4. Reviews =Based on workload, complexity, avaliability of the Reviewer and the Doc. No need for impatience. We'd rather devote the appropriate time to review each appliacant's case to the highest quality review possible. It would be easy to say "does NOT meet standards" on a number of cases to clear out inboxes. That will provide the "quick" answer, but NOT the right answer. We treat EACH and EVERY case as though it is OUR promotion package....and applicants, parent, commanders should NOT settle for anything less AND we will meet that standard.

USAFA, our host installation, had computer network problems last night. All is fixed now.:thumb:
