I was just wondering how strict the DoDMERB exam was. I was not able to read past 20/25 on the eye chart on my right eye, yet it says on the Naval Academy DoDMERB DQ pdf that vision not correctable to 20/20 was a dq. Is this something they will let slide? I am almost certain I could have read one line lower, and I don’t know why I didn’t in the moment (I guess I was panicking). My eye diopters are -6.00 on both eyes, and I just recently got an eye exam in the past three months.

If you are correctable to 20/20 you are not DQ'd for admissions. Having said that if you are seeking aviation there will be additional stricter vision criteria down the road before you can get a pilot slot. USAFA has strictest vision screening I believe [beyond the DoDMERB screen, like 3 years down the road before you can branch pilot track.] Military offers PRK correction after you are active duty - do NOT get Lasik etc on your own beforehand.

I do not know the diopter limits offhand but there are separate DQ standards for that.

Yes during Junior year when you got the pilot spot, the AF send you to get a full pilots physical where they give you a full eye exam (what you would get from an opthomologist) along with with every other exam they can think off

Does USAFA offer juniors free PRK as well? I know that USNA does. I am looking to go into aviation and I know that with my current vision, I will not be able to be a pilot without it.

Yes. My son had PRK at USAFA at the very beginning of Junior year.
