DoDMERB Exam and CFA

I am almost done with my Candidate File, as I only have the Resume part to do left. It's due on November 1st. My question is, once I submit the file, how long does it take to get me appointed for a dodmerb exam, and how long will I have to wait after it gets appointed in order fro me to do it? Also, when does it usually schedule your CFA after completing the file? A few weeks? Months? I want to intentionally keep my file unsubmitted as long as reasonably possible in order to get myself more time to train for the CFA and lose weight for the medical exam, but I also don't want to get too far behind in completing everything in the whole application.
 
DODMERB - Speak with your Admissions counselor. Once Admissions transmits your name to us as a valid applicant, it would take less than 3 business days, before you'll receive an email from DoDMERB and another one from CivTeam to begin scheduling your exam and completing your medical history.:wiggle:

Once I complete the Candidate File, how long does it usually take for the actual dodmerb exam to occur? Say I complete it tomorrow, how long do you think it would be until the day of the exam?

I can't speak for Admissions or their process. Once you get the email from DoDMERB and CivTeam, ...YOU...schedule your own exams. That will depend on your schedule and the schedule of your assigned providers near your home :wiggle:
 
You schedule your own CFA and the person administering the test uploads the documentation to USAFA. This is why you gave their contact info in advance.

Personally I was able to schedule my exam literally for the next day, but like people said it depends. Just try to get it done ASAP

Your CFA is due no later than two weeks after the due date of your candidate kit. Read your "Instructions to Candidates". It there.
