DoDMERB Eye test questions

No letter yet and I suspect it'll get here over the weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone.

It was sent to you yesterday in an email. I will send it again momentarily.

It was sent 25 minutes after we received your email. It was SENT: @ 1033 MDT yesterday. It was sent as a direct reply to your email address. I just called and left a message on your machine:thumb:

Larry, I don't have a message on my phone and didn't receive an e mail. I'll PM you to confirm my phone numbers. Thanks

Larry, just in case I was unclear, I was talking about a physical snail mail letter from the DoDMERB, with the actual new test date and site letter. Hope that helps.

We have spoken. We're on the same page now:smile:

inthenavy2008 has a pretty good idea if you chose to go that way. The government can't reimburse you for that expense though.

It was well worth the $75 spent to diffuse the anxiety!

A few weeks later, he went to a Navy base and passed with "flying colors!"

Thanks to both of you.

Just yesterday we were watching a show on Carriers and they showed the meatball and how it works in real time. My wife asked my son to call out the changes on the screen and he did it perfectly, all colors....please understand, I realize this is not a clinical test just an indication for us as we're stressed over this whole issue.

I'm going to find out if he can take this test locally too.

Thanks.

When my son received the remedial requiring him to take the FALANT, he said, "Mom, I am NOT colorblind!" How could I enjoy Christmas if I was (ie--red and green)!

Why not go to the FAA website and see if there are eye doctors in your area and call. That's how we found one. My son wants to fly. If he couldn't get into a Navy program, he wanted to be screened for FAA purposes to see if he could fly at all. . .

But, thank God, all went well and he passed with no errors.

We will try that route if one is available. We have a Flight Safety school in our town and I'll check with them next week to see if we can test.
Thanks you for the advice.

Today my son was disqualified for dilopia. This is a surprise as he has annual eye exams with a top notch opthamologist and, other than being near sighted and having a protein problem with his contacts, has great eyes. (His last exam was 3 months ago). Son is baffled as he has never experienced double or blurry vision. His DODMERB eye exam took only a couple of minutes. The eye examiner did not repeat any tests. I plan to have him examined next week by our doctor. Is there anything else I should do?

Send me an email @ Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil "Subj: Forum - Eye exam - Diplopia Failure - 30 Jul 08"

Give me your son's full name and Last 4 of his social security number and I'll get back to you.:thumb:
