Out of the last 20 emails I've responded to this evening alone (not all from the Forums), I've had applicants say what do I do about this injury/illness/issue?? When I look them up, I see that we requested items from them as much as 60 days earlier that they haven't responded to yet.

I’m afraid that we have a culture where it is just easier to ask a question on social media than actually do some research yourself. It happens all the time.

I hate to say this, but it sometimes seems like this generation is just plain lazy and expectant of someone else doing their research and work! Hate to say it, but we have twins, one is very much self sufficient and solves his own problems, the other twin tends to want his mom and I, or even his friends to solve his problems....even at age 20! Possibly parents/grandparents fault for allowing this generation to get, get, get, without having to work for anything. Now it seems many of our young people seem spoiled and entitled instead of driven to obtain and succeed. Just MHO

I am not convinced it’s a generational thing. Judging from what I see on the various social media platforms people of all ages seem to ask questions that they could have found the answers to themselves with the most basic of research. For example for some Facebook seems have completely replaced internet search engines!

think of it as being more efficient. I could spend 1-2 hours looking something up or spend 10 minutes or less asking someone a question. I am a CPA, I could spend hours researching a technical tax question or ask the guy next to me who may know the answer. My comment isnt directed at Mr. Mullen because I am sure he is a busy man and he is correct that people need to respond to questions or documents requests before he should get invovled. They cant ask him a specific question because he wont have the requested documents to have an opinion one way or another. Again not referring to this post, but sometimes people get confused on questions because either they arent clear or people over think the question.
