I began applying to the service academies in August. I got my DODMERB done around this time and I am/was fully qualified. however, I tore my meniscus in October and had to get surgery at the end of October. I never contacted DODMERB because I was unsure if I was still attending a service academy. However, in December I decided to take the ROTC route and won a scholarship in the second board. I am now fully healed from my meniscus repair and my medical status is still qualified however, I have not notified DODMERB of my surgery. What should I do to ensure I am still a contracted cadet my freshman year? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Adding, to make sure and get busy with updating DODMERB ASAP. There will ‘most likely’ be additional work to be done. Get busy ASAP to allow ENOUGH time to work through the process.
