Son was disqualified due to history of counseling. We provided a note from the counselor that he saw for 12 months for only talk therapy where she discharged him and said there is no need for further counseling. No meds no hospitalizations, just every other week visits and telehealth visits after pandemic. We are now being asked to provide PCP notes, history of pharmacy and all counseling notes. Here is the thing, he didn't have a PCP and hasn't been to a medical doctor other than urgent care since he was very small. He never gets sick! He has never been on any medication except when he broke his ankle 5 years ago. Everything else has been OTC (tylenol, cold medicine, etc)

We are not sure what to submit because there is no record of visits to a PCP. What should we send in, besides the counseling notes. I can get a document from our insurance provider saying there is not rx history for him, but what else should we submit to DODmerb? We need to move quickly as he was awarded a 4 year NROTC scholarship.

MOM/DAD: Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" Read paragraph #4.

Son: Send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil (***ensure you type the email just as it looks. No extra “e” anywhere***); provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your Parent's posting above to YOUR email. The subject line of the email should be “KRD317-SAF =

How did this turn out for you all, if I can ask? We are just starting DODMERB for AROTC and USMA and have a very similar situation on counseling. Have not been DQ'd but am concerned about it. No real diagnosis. Counseling solely to deal with pandemic disruption.
