So my son took his DODMERB two weeks ago. At the exam, he took the urine test (which apparently is not required ). Three days later, DODMERB requested a remedial urine test and microscopy for protein. They gave us the option of going to our family doctor's office which is more conveniently located to us than Concorde. The results came back negative for Blood, Protein and Sugar, which are the three things for which they test.

But the test result report said that he had a higher than normal bacteria reading. The doctor thinks that the lab had the urine sit at room temperature too long, thus causing the reading. There were no other abnormal readings such high nitrite which would indicate an infection. He believes it was just poor lab handling.

We sent the result in as directed.

Does anyone know if this bacteria reading will cause us further problems. He passed his vision screening and he had no other issues during the physical exam.

Thank you.

In case anyone has to know for future reference, bacteria is not an issue. He was qualified. Clean bill of health.
