I am sharing this in what I hope may be useful for those who also may receive a remedial administrative AMI like my son recently did. First, we read through a few threads seeking some solid advice. The most useful info was the link to the meaning of the codes which helped my son understand why the additional medical information was being asked and therefore how best to address the questions. Second, a couple of posters reminded us to just answer the questions simply, providing the details requested, but nothing more, as his remedial did not require an additional physician's visit, just a statement. Third, it was comforting to know that Mr Mullens was a potential source of information if we needed to go to a next step. The result was that in less than 24 hours my son's updated status was "qualified". Very impressed that DoDMERBS could respond that quickly. To those who find themselves in a similar situation-please know sometimes the solution can be simple fix so try not to read more into it.

My DS also has received a remedial administrative AMI for an out-patient procedure he had done 7 years ago (when he was 10 y.o.). We've left messages for the doctor and hospital to obtain medical records but we are not confident that we will be obtain the requested records since they may have been purged. The DOD letter also requests that DS complete a questionnaire, which he has done. Should we submit the completed questionnaire while we wait to, hopefully, obtain the requested medical records?

MomUSMA = As previously answered to other posts....

Mom/Dad = Pls Google “DoDMERB;” Hit “Questions on the process;” Read paragraph #4

DS = Send me an email:
lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your Parent's posting above to YOUR email. The subject line of the email should be “MomUSMA- SAF = DoDMERB remedial.“ Do NOT embed links in your email as I will not be able to view those.:wiggle:

Will do!

Just answered DS. Also told him about the private conversation you and I had about Mom rates for doing the scut work for DS applicants and the premium for where he lives:rofl:

So encouraging! DS also received one and just sent it out. Hope he can get response as fast as yours! Congrats!
