So I recently obtained a LOA from the Naval Academy, and the only issue holding me back right now is my Medical condition (DQed but seeking a waiver). I recently checked the portal for the 15th time today, and my waiver status switched from "Under Waiver Review" to "Awaiting Receipt of Remedial" to "Under Waiver Review." My question is, what does "Awaiting Receipt of Remedial" mean? and why did it switch back to "Under Waiver Review"? Thank you so much if you guys have an answer!

Awaiting receipt of remedial means they are waiting for additional medical information, triggered by you. Is there correspondence associated? Did you already send in the AMI?

Related question: We have three different status terminologies in DODMERB for a single DQ - and was hoping for some clarification from the forums on what they mean and what stage we are in. One is an SA waiver, so we obviously know what that means. We understand to be patient, but we are a little confused for the ROTC scholarships and if there are additional steps we should be taking. Any assistance is appreciated.

AFROTC: Was "Under DODMERB Review" until today, now "Does not meet medical standards".

USNA: "Waiver Granted" (obviously we know what that one means - it was granted in August shortly after we sent supplemental information.)

NROTC: "Under Waiver Review."

When we were “Under Waiver Review”, we sent AMI and then the status changed to “ Under DoDMERB Review”. The next day, it changed to “Under Waiver Review” again. What does that mean? DS has an LOA from AFA and WP. During Under Waiver Review, do I need to submit more AMI again or just stay and wait?

Under waiver review means the SA’s are looking at granting a waiver.

It was under waiver review by SA, they received new info and brought it back for their review, they then changed it back to SA waiver review is my guess ... based on what my son’s messages were.

Does anyone have history on what this terms mean from an ROTC standpoint?

I don't know if it's different for ROTC, but have they already initiated the waiver process? If not, "does not meet medical standards" means if he is competitive, he will be considered for a waiver... If he has already been considered for a waiver, then he will need to appeal the decision as a last hope. I am not positive on this, but that is what happens for USNA, and I'd imagine it's the same.
Yes! They recently just added a couple of AMIs!
Sometimes it takes a day or so to post the correspondence with the instructions. It is stressful!
