Does accepting a Falcon Scholarship commit you to USAFA?

We're just trying to decide what to do in regards to the Falcon Scholarship. If you go through this entire process and later decide not to attend USAFA for whatever reason (after attending the prep school) would AFROTC still consider you for a scholarship? We're not thinking that's going to happen but just trying to think of every possibility since life happens. Would this reflect poorly on you in the eyes of AFROTC?

Yes, you are committed if you receive an appointment or pay back the $$$

You aren’t committed until the first day of your Junior year. Prior to your junior year I think you can still transfer to ROTC (could be wrong). I don’t know if you can go from USAFA to ROTC after your junior year without financial compensation.

...., that is true as far as commitment to the Air Force, but if you actually except the money for a falcon foundation scholarship you were obligated to accept your appointment or pay the money back. That’s part of the contract you sign
