Does GPA matter when it comes to be accepted into West Point? I have a fairly high GPA(3.86 unweighted/4.30 weighted) but my class rank is not all that great(66/429). Will they factor in the fact that I have a high GPA or will they simply look at my class rank?

Also, I tried to look up my high school's test scores to see if my school is "elite" but I couldn't find them, instead I found this high school ranking website and it rated my high school in the top 1150 high schools in the nation. Would West Point consider my school an elite school? Will my high school's rank help compensate for my mediocre class rank at all?

Also, does anyone know where I can find a list of recommended high school classes to take for people applying to West Point? I found one for the Air Force Academy here http://www.academyadmissions.com/admissions/the-application-process/academic-performance/
but I couldn't find one of the West Point website.

No, they do not care about your GPA. I wouldn't consider top 1150 "elite" since we don't know what criteria they are using and it doesn't matter anyway. How many go onto 4 year college after graduation - that is what matters for determining how competitive your school is.

Two minutes on the admissions site and it gives you:

It tells you pretty quick what you need to do to meet the requirements. You should also be able to search through the plebe year academics and between the two, figure out how to best prepare yourself.
