Does the NASS session you are accepted to have any bearing on how competitive you are?

I'm sorry this is probably a stupid question. But I was curious if the 1st session is for more competitive candidates? I was recently accepted to session number 2 and I'm just trying to look more into (probably nothing) the implications of this.

Any response at all would be appreciated. Thank you!

No, not at all. It's just scheduling. In fact an acceptance to summer seminar has no bearing whatsoever on whether you eventually will earn an appointment.

DD accepted to 2nd session. Could not even apply for 1st as crew season goes into first week of June & HS still is session. HS doesn’t get out until end of June so will be rescheduling a few exams to attend NASS #2

Ok, thank you for the insight!

I don't believe so. If I recall correctly, upon applying to the NASS, I was prompted to select which session (1, 2, and/or 3) I could attend.
