Does this mean what I think it means?

I received an official correspondence called Candidate File Qualified and one section read, "You received a Letter of Assurance based on the overwhelming strength of your file. West Point will begin tendering most appointments at the end of February 2023 and yours will be in the first wave of packets mailed out at that time"

Is this USMA telling me I'm in?

Yes, based upon your post they are issuing you an LOA (Letter of Assurance) telling you that if you are “fully qualified“ they will be sending you an offer of appointment. I would assume that you have a letter from admissions stating that you are 2Q/3Q? If you have not completed medical, that might be the only hold up. If you have, and are already 3Q, then let the good times roll! Congratulations….see you with my DS at R-Day.

I received the LOA in September, qualified academically and physically in November, got 3 noms, and had just gotten a medical waiver so thank you!

How did the process with your medical waiver go? I am in the same boat, LOA in September etc

It took weeks after I got notification that they would request a waiver for me before they asked me for AMI or additional medical information concerning my eyesight so I immediately went and did another eye exam and submitted the documents concerning it. Just get your AMI stuff done as quickly as possible and then all you can do is wait.

My portal now says candidate qualified and I have an LOA and a nom. Medically cleared. I received a letter similar to the one above (says Feb but now it’s march?) - But no official offer of appointment? Do I need to do anything or just wait and see?

You may cautiously limber up one leg for a happy dance but hold the pose. It will seem like an eternity.

My DD is in the same boat. She received an LOA, MOC nom, and medical waiver granted 2 days ago. Now just waiting on offer and accept button. 🤞
